Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination with Technical & Design Teams
• Work closely with the Technical and Design Departments for BOM preparation, design clarifications, and technical accuracy.
• Share Sales Order details, CT model, customer specifications, site conditions, and special requirements with Design immediately after order confirmation.
• Follow up for GA drawings, foundation drawings, and BOM release as per project timelines.
• Verify that the model, capacity, MOC, fan/motor specifications, fill type, louvers, hardware, and accessories match the approved design.
• Communicate any design changes, deviations, or client approvals to all stakeholders.
• Ensure that only the latest BOM revision is used for planning and dispatch.
• BOM Preparation & Validation
• Prepare the complete and final Bill of Materials for each cooling tower model based on design inputs.
• Cross-check quantities, material codes, and specifications before freezing the BOM.
• Identify missing items, incorrect quantities, or design inconsistencies and get them corrected with the Design Team.
• Standardize BOM formats for FRP towers, Pultruded towers, counterflow models, crossflow models, and special designs.
• Maintain proper version control and documentation for all BOM revisions.
• Packaging List Preparation
• Convert the final BOM into a clear and structured Packaging List for Dispatch Team use.
• Break down material into package-wise groups (e.g., FRP components, Pultruded profiles, hardware kits, fills, louvers, motors, fans, fasteners, accessories).
• Mention exact item quantities, weights, dimensions (if applicable), and packing sequence.
• Ensure all items required for assembly at site are included in the packaging plan.
• Prepare separate lists for:
• Domestic shipments
• Export shipments
• Large/special projects
• Material Availability & Coordination
• Coordinate with Stores & Procurement to check stock availability as per final BOM.
• Highlight shortages and follow up for timely procurement.
• Assist Production with any BOM-related queries affecting fabrication or assembly.
• Dispatch Readiness Support
• Provide the Dispatch Team with final BOM and Packaging List as the only required documents for picking and packing.
• Support Dispatch in clarifying part identification, labeling, and item sequence.
• Ensure that QC and Production have checked material readiness before dispatch booking.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of cooling tower parts (fills, louvers, FRP panels, pultruded profiles, fans, motors, nozzles, DE, hardware, basins, etc.).
• Experience in BOM creation, technical drawings, and product configuration.
• Ability to read GA and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of packaging standards for heavy engineering/FRP materials.
• Excellent Excel and ERP/Tally/Salesforce skills.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and structured, organized working approach.
  

Education & Experience

• Diploma/BE in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) OR
• Graduate with minimum 2–3 years’ experience in BOM planning, technical coordination, or dispatch planning in manufacturing.
