Job Description

  • Media Relations:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
  • Pitch stories and secure media coverage in print, broadcast, and online platforms.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the impact of PR activities.
  • Content Creation:

  • Write and edit speeches, articles, blog posts, and social media content.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to produce engaging multimedia content.
  • Ensure all communications are consistent with the organizations brand and messaging.
  • Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
  • Act as the spokesperson for the organization during crises, ensuring clear and accurate communication.
  • Manage negative publicity and work to mitigate potential damage to the organizations reputation.
  • Event Coordination:

  • Plan and execute PR events, such as press conferences, product launches, and corporate events.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Represent the organization at events and public appearances.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and industry partners.
  • Ensure that the organizations messages are effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate open and transparent communication between the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research to understand public opinion, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on research findings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and the media landscape.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with crisis management and public speaking.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Creativity and the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience in Event Management
  • Knowledge of content creation and management.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing PR campaigns.
