Marketing And Social Media Assistant

The Marketing & Social Media Assistant at RISE Lab, IIT Delhi will play a crucial role in enhancing our lab's visibility, promoting our research achievements, strengthening industrial collaborations, and organizing engaging events. You will work closely with the lab head and research team to translate technical advancements into accessible, compelling content.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

• Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, video) across all lab social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram).
• Monitor social media trends and audience engagement, providing regular performance reports.
• Maintain a consistent and professional brand voice for the lab.

Industrial Relations & Outreach:

• Assist in identifying and cultivating relationships with potential industry partners and collaborators.
• Maintain a database of industrial contacts and track outreach efforts.
• Draft professional correspondence, reports, and presentations for external stakeholders.

Content & Marketing Material Creation:

• Design high-quality marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, flyers, posters, presentation templates) using Canva.
• Create visual assets to highlight research outcomes, publications, and lab achievements.
• Assist with the maintenance and updating of the lab's official website/web pages.

Event Planning & Execution:

• Organize and manage logistics for in-person events, workshops, seminars, and industrial visits hosted by the lab at IIT Delhi.
• Handle event promotion, registration, venue setup, and post-event follow-up.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience (can be academic projects or internships) in social media management and content creation.
• Mandatory requirement: Must be present in New Delhi for on-site duties and event management.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Proficiency in Canva or similar graphic design tools for creating professional marketing materials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex technical information.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the academic/research environment (especially engineering/science) is a plus.
