Job Description

5-6 years of relevant design experience in precise injection molds for automotive plastics parts.
Lead the DFM process, providing critical guidance on product design changes (drafts, tolerances, snap locks) to ensure validation success.
Perform high-level Mold Flow/Moldex3D analysis (Fill, Pack, Warp, and FEM Cooling).
Person should be capable to do mold design based on the product drawing requirements with minimal intervention from the team leads/supervisor.
Strong mold design concepts with at least moderate knowledge of manufacturing and assembly.
Should be able to prepare 2d detailed drawings inline to manufacturing tolerances and BOM for procurement of elements.
Should ensure the designs are completed and released for manufacturing as per the agreed timelines.
Oversee tool assembly, try-outs, and sample inspections (FSI/LSI/EOL).
He/She should have knowledge of GD&T tolerances.
He/She should have knowledge of Manufacturing process and equipment.
He/She should have knowledge of Inspection methods and measuring instruments.
Negotiate tool costs, standard item pricing, and lead times with suppliers.
Design fixtures and auto-loading/unloading mechanisms to reduce cycle times and boost productivity.
Attention to detail, self-driven, result oriented.
Execute comprehensive RFQ processes, including 2D/3D CAD study, machine selection, and layout planning

Job Requirements

Developing production improvement goals; recommending suggestions for improvements to management.
Evaluating unfinished products and components; recommends quality and production improvements.
Analyzing statistics related to production efficiency, safety measures, and resource usage; research on effective ways of research with regards to cost saving.
Designing and evaluates plans for implementing manufacturing equipment, technology and resources to meet goals.
