Manufacturing & Operations Head (Sheet Metal)

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing & Operations Head leads the production, operations, and supply chain functions of our genset and acoustic enclosure manufacturing business. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards, driving efficiency, and optimizing resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing & Production Management

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing of diesel/gas gensets, acoustic enclosures, canopies, and noise control solutions.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet demand forecasts, reduce lead times, and optimize efficiency.
• Ensure plant operations adhere to CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) norms, ISO standards, and OSHA safety guidelines.

· Achieve 100% of the agreed goals for deliveries, timelines, and quality.

2. Process Optimization & Cost Control

• Lead initiatives to reduce production costs, waste, and downtime while maintaining quality.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Optimize material usage, energy consumption, and equipment efficiency for cost savings and sustainability.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure product reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions to address defects and improve manufacturing processes.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CPCB, and other relevant industry standards.

4. Supply Chain & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with procurement teams to source engines, alternators, sheet metals, silencers, and acoustic materials.
• Optimize inventory levels using Just-In-Time (JIT) and ERP-based supply chain management.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to enhance procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

5. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead and mentor a team of plant managers, production engineers, and quality control specialists.
• Ensure a safe and productive work environment, enforcing EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) protocols.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
• Training and development of people including enhancing the skill matrix.

· Maintain congenial industrial relations with the workers and worker council and close liaison with government authorities

6. Technology & Innovation

• Oversee the integration of automation, CNC machining, robotic welding, and Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Drive innovation in noise control technologies, silent genset design, and advanced manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and best practices to stay competitive.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,046,199.20 - ₹1,503,639.96 per year
