Job Description

As a Managing Director in India, you will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, strategic direction, and management. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day activities, implementing business strategies, and ensuring the achievement of financial and organizational goals. You will often act as the public face of the company, reporting to the CEO and board of directors. You will be expected to conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitive products, craft and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, and work closely with other departments to align regional strategies with corporate goals. Driving sales process optimization, mentoring and leading the sales team, and building relationships with key stakeholders will also be crucial aspects of your role. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential company operations risks and financial stability risks, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within the region, and producing detailed sales forecasts and reports to guide business decisions. Monitoring performance metrics to ensure the effectiveness of sales strategies will also be part of your duties. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. You should be a market visionary with experience introducing a new company, product, or service into markets and have intimate knowledge of utilities, energy, technology, and/or smart grid markets. Proven leadership experience in a Sales role, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively are also required. Additionally, you should have in-depth understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, competitive products, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and navigate complex situations. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, market awareness, and knowledge of industry trends will also be valuable assets in this role.,
