Job Description

As a Hybrid Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing critical IT infrastructure with a specialized focus on Dell server, storage, and data protection technologies. Your role is crucial for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of core data center and enterprise services supporting Telco-grade environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Server Administration:** - Manage Dell PowerEdge servers including installation, configuration, patching, and decommissioning. - Administer Windows and/or Linux operating systems on Dell hardware. - Utilize Dell iDRAC and other management tools for remote server management and monitoring. - **Storage Management:** - Configure, provision, and maintain Dell enterprise storage systems such as PowerStore, PowerMax, or PowerVault. - Perform storage-related tasks including LUN provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring. - Troubleshoot latency, replication, and capacity issues in coordination with other teams. - **Data Protection and Backup:** - Design, deploy, and manage enterprise backup and recovery environment using Dell Power Protect solutions. - Monitor daily backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and manage retention policies. - Ensure compliance with RPO/RTO and regulatory data protection standards. - **Monitoring, Incident, and Change Management:** - Monitor server, storage, and backup infrastructure using tools like Dell Open Manage, SolarWinds, Zabbix. - Acknowledge and resolve incidents per SLA timelines; escalate when required. - Execute planned changes and firmware updates following ITIL practices. **Key Skills and Qualifications:** - Server Platforms: Dell PowerEdge, iDRAC, OpenManage Enterprise - Storage Solutions: Dell EMC PowerVault, PowerStore, Unity - Backup & DR Solutions: Dell EMC Networker, Avamar, Data Domain - Monitoring Tools: OpenManage, Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds - Operating Systems: Red Hat Linux, Windows Server - Networking Basics: iSCSI, FC SAN, VLAN, multipathing - Incident & Change Tools: ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Management **Infrastructure Operations Requirements:** - Practical experience working within ITIL processes - Experience configuring and responding to alerts from monitoring tools - Regular cadence for applying OS patches and firmware updates - Active participation in Disaster Recovery drills - Ensuring systems are configured in line with security policies You should have relevant certifications such as Dell Technologies Certified Associate and Specialist, as well as other certifications like Red Hat Openshift, Microsoft Certified, or CompTIA Server+.,
