Role: Infrastructure Specialist (Cloud Platforms) Experience: 8+ Year Interview Mode & Location: WALK IN Pune, Kolkata, Mysore, Bangalore Work Location: Pune, Kolkata, Mysore, Bangalore Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions using Rubrik as the primary technology, along with Avamar, Networker, and Data Domain. Troubleshoot and integrate Rubrik backup appliances with cloud and virtualization platforms. Handle backup storage solutions, deduplication, and performance optimization. Automate backup processes using PowerShell and Python scripting. Ensure compliance with security best practices and disaster recovery planning. Independently resolve complex backup-related issues. Work in a 24/7 support environment as per client requirements. Profile Requirements: Candidates must be able to explain their project/work experience listed in their CV. No gaps in education allowed. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain backup solutions (e.g., Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, AVAMAR, EMC Networker etc.). • Participate in a 24x7 shift rotation as required by the team. • Monitor daily backup jobs, ensuring successful execution and addressing failed jobs. • Validate backup reports and escalate critical failures to higher-level teams if necessary. • Ensure backup policies and schedules are aligned with business needs. • Investigate and resolve backup failures, missed jobs, and performance issues. • Work with storage, network, and application teams to identify root causes of backup issues. • Perform restores and disaster recovery tests as per business requirements. • Create and update knowledge base articles for common backup issues and resolutions. • Develop and maintain PowerShell or Shell scripts for backup reporting and automation. • Optimize backup performance through automation and policy adjustments. Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: - Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCP: - Administer and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including user accounts, groups, and organizational units. Configure and manage DNS and DHCP services, ensuring high availability and security. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD, DNS, and DHCP. VxRail: - Deploy, configure, and manage VxRail hyper-converged infrastructure solutions. Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Cisco IronPort Mail Gateway: - Administer Cisco IronPort email security appliances, including configuration, policy management, and monitoring. Implement and maintain email filtering and security protocols to protect against threats. Perform regular updates and patches to ensure the latest security measures are in place. NetBackup / Networker IN Depth Knowledge required - Manage and configure NetBackup/Networker backup solutions, ensuring reliable and efficient backup and recovery operations. Monitor backup jobs and perform regular tests to verify data integrity and recovery capabilities. Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues and implement improvements as needed Storage - EMC: In Depth Knowledge Required - Administer and manage EMC storage solutions, including provisioning, configuration, and performance tuning. Monitor storage health and capacity, ensuring data availability and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance. Data Domain: In Depth Knowledge Required Manage Data Domain systems, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance. Implement and maintain data deduplication and backup solutions to optimize storage efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Data Domain systems. Qualifications: - Education: - Bachelors degree. Experience: - 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role, with hands-on experience in the technologies listed. Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. - Demonstrated expertise with VxRail hyper-converged infrastructure. Extensive experience with Cisco IronPort mail gateways. - Proficiency in NetBackup/Networker backup solutions. Strong experience with EMC storage solutions. Practical knowledge of Data Domain systems. Skills: - In-depth technical knowledge of AD/DNS/DHCP, VxRail, Cisco IronPort, NetBackup/Networker, EMC Storage, and Data Domain. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
