As a Senior System Administrator specializing in Unix systems at Circana, you will play a crucial role in providing hands-on technical support for Linux and UNIX servers in both physical and virtual environments. You will be responsible for maintaining and administering a large number of servers in a highly commercial and agile environment, ensuring their optimal performance and uptime. Your expertise will be instrumental in troubleshooting operational issues, coordinating planned and unplanned outages, and deploying security patches following standard methodologies. Your day-to-day tasks will include installing and troubleshooting hardware, building servers based on established procedures, providing operating system support to application developers, and monitoring server performance to ensure compliance with SLAs. You will also work on technology-driven projects aimed at enhancing service delivery, such as server migrations and firmware updates. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field with a quantitative component, along with at least 5 years of experience in supporting Linux and UNIX systems. Analytical skills and a passion for consulting using data and analytics are preferred, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams and with clients. Your inquisitive nature, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks will be essential for success in this position.
