KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & SCOPE OF WORK
Transportation Management
- Handling day to day operations of the transport department. Dispatching, routing, and tracking of delivery vehicles. Making sure company compliance of all transport policies, legislation and procedure; accountable for managing, monitoring and developing a team of drivers. Serving as first point of contact for all drivers
Fleet Vehicle Management
- Ensuring that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained and serviced; organizing vehicle checks; identifying operational issues, potential problems and opportunities.
Liaison & Coordination
- Coordinating with various professionals and maintaining all the necessary documents; assisting with high severity requests as needed. Overseeing the communication responsibilities both at internal & external levels.
Team Management
- Ensuring skills enhancement and development of every individual in the team by providing direction, motivation and training to team; coordinating with cross functional teams. Guiding & mentoring team members in accomplishment of objectives; improving the team performance through counselling, skills enhancement.
Strategic Planning
- Developing and leading development of plan which delivers key target objective; managing transportation department, staff, protocols, disciplines and processes. Maintaining continuous alignment of plans with strategic business objectives, and made recommendations to modify the plans & Procedures to enhance effectiveness toward the strategic intent.
Quality Services
- Managing the implementation of best practices in all relevant business functions ensuring fulfilment of business requirements while delivering quality service in line with company vision, mission and strategy.
Budgeting
- Preparing operating budget and prudently managing organization's resources to insure business efficiency, service and cost-effective management. Analysing expenditures & other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services. Monitoring spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.
Staff Management
- Accountable for arranging for the induction and training off all new staff; maintaining accurate administrative records. Appraising staff performance and also taking disciplinary measures when required.
Complaint & Query management
- Responsible for resolving and managing queries and complaints courteously and efficiently; ensuring all site and customer objectives are achieved analysing all accidents investigations. Recommending or authorizing capital expenditures for acquisition of new equipment or property in order to increase efficiency and services of operations department.
