Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Billing Operations/Payment posting:

Oversee daily billing activities including charge entry, claim creation, and submission.
Ensure accurate and timely billing in compliance with payer requirements and internal policies.
Collaborate with coding and AR teams to resolve billing discrepancies and denials.
Monitor billing KPIs such as clean claim rate, first-pass resolution rate, and billing lag.
Manage the posting of payments, adjustments, and denials from ERA/EOBs.
Ensure reconciliation of payments with bank deposits and remittance advice.
Identify and escalate posting discrepancies or payer issues.
Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop billing and posting team members.
Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development.
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Process & Compliance:

Implement and refine SOPs for billing and posting workflows.
Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams for periodic reviews.

Reporting & Analysis:

Generate and analyze operational reports to track performance and identify trends.
Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
10+ years of experience in healthcare billing and payment posting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of payer guidelines, EDI transactions, and RCM systems
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in physical therapy or multi-specialty clinic billing.
Familiarity with incentive-driven team management.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
