Manager-S&OP and PPC

Role & responsibilities

Specialist Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Production Planning & Control (PPC) in ammunition manufacturing plant is responsible for aligning demand forecasts with production capabilities and ensuring timely delivery of finished goods. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing resource allocation and minimizing disruptions in the supply chain.

Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, considering historical data, seasonality, and external factors.

Translate demand forecasts into production plans, considering capacity constraints and material availability.

Create detailed production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient execution of the plan.

Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks to optimize resource allocation and ensure on-time delivery.

Manage inventory levels to balance customer service with holding costs, considering lead times and safety stock requirements.

Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and consensus on the production plan.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the planning and control cycle.

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of S&OP and PPC processes and identify areas for improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE / B. Tech Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Operations Management

• Minimum of 10 years related experience Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Production Planning & Control (PPC).

• Working Experience in Defence Sector
• Ammunition or related industry experience.
