KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

• To be responsible for all the maintenance related problems and report to Administration.
• To be responsible for supervising maintenance work of all departments.
• Ensure safe and secure environment through optimized Engineering Services, Preventive Maintenance and safety protocols.
• To plan and execute the maintenance services on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis depending upon the job requirement of various areas.
• Planning and implementation of a program of

  Planned Preventive Maintenance

  in relationship to all the facilities / services under the scope mentioned above and responsibility.
• Ensuring that all the facilities, systems and services under the scope of engineering services are well maintained and kept in a state of optimum operational efficiency.
• Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all the equipment available and their location inside the hospital or premise.
• To make maintenance/repairs contracts for major plants and machinery and for sophisticated medical equipments.
• Ensuring timely action for renewal of maintenance contracts /insurance cover of the facilities / equipment under his purview.
• Planned periodic cleaning of AC ducting and filters and inspection / change of HEPA filters wherever provided.
• To ensure that the time for repairs for the machinery and plant is minimal and the buildings and its fixtures are well maintained.
• Ensuring that the facilities / services provided are conducive to efficient and high quality patient care.
• Maintaining an up-to-date history sheet for each and every equipment unit in the hospital.
• Anticipating the requirement of commonly required spares and arranging for their adequate stocking.
• Ensuring that break down maintenance is prompt enough to ensure uninterrupted services. This, however, does not include sophisticated / electronic equipment that should be better handled under the supervision or arrangement by suppliers.
• Efficient and prompt vendor management and co-ordination.
• Ensuring that the facilities / services coming under his scope are safe and hazard free.
• Ensuring that the facilities / services under his scope are in compliance with the relevant legal provisions.
• Ensuring that the facilities / services provided under their scope of responsibility are conductive to efficient and high quality patient care.
