Manager / Senior Manager - Legal

As a Manager / Senior Manager in the Legal department at a leading global financial services firm in Bangalore, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end legal function for the firm's India operations. Your role will involve managing various legal affairs, providing counsel, reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting cross-border legal initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage legal affairs for the India geography, including advisory, regulatory, commercial, corporate, and employment law matters. - Provide legal counsel on business operations, regulatory changes, and corporate governance. - Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and service-level arrangements. - Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage legal risks effectively. - Partner with external counsel on specialized legal matters and litigation. - Monitor changes in Indian legal and regulatory landscape and ensure compliance. - Support cross-border legal initiatives in collaboration with teams in other geographies. - Lead legal risk management and internal policy development. **Key Requirements:** - LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution; additional qualifications like CS or LLM are a plus. - 8-15 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in financial services or with a top-tier law firm. - Strong understanding of Indian corporate, commercial, and regulatory laws. - Excellent contract negotiation, drafting, and advisory skills. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and make informed legal decisions. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in a global environment preferred.,
