Job Description

Responsibility Area Key Activities Planning

  • Ensuring that project schedules with resources /cost loaded are prepared on sound assumptions related with productivity, cycle time local factors, project logistics corresponding with chosen methodology in line with business plan. This shall include activities spanning from approvals/ Design/ Procurement/ execution and handover.
  • Preparing / reviewing Construction Master & subsequent project Schedules & methodologies in line with Business Plans, Project Execution Plan (PEP) & logistic Plan.
  • Supporting RO planning resources in Identifying and including the Ideal sequencing of events in the correct order to establish & monitor accurate critical path for the project to finish on time and on budget.
  • Establishing construction Milestones to be achieved in line with financial targets of business plan w.r.t. construction spends. Monitoring
  • Monitoring the progress of the project at different stages of its development & ensuring achieved progress on the project fits the progress anticipated in the schedule in line with Business Plans.
  • Monitoring projects and raises early warning /suggests corrective action with respect to Resource Planning & Deployment, Time cost over-runs.
  • Monitoring all projects activities & milestones as per the GPLs contract requirement and provide effective HO Support to regional planning resources at RO.
  • Overseeing the performance of Contractors, sub-contractors ensuring compliance with submitted programs / plans. Co-ordinate with the stakeholders (Internal /External) & PMC to ensure no slippage of planned activities.
  • Oversee Contractual correspondence Related to time function and input to safeguard companys interest.
  • Supporting Costing Budgeting team cost monitoring for the project MIS Reporting
  • Review weekly & monthly Progress reports, charts & tables, establish trends. Prepare and implement necessary formats for progress monitoring and reports as and when required.
  • Review and coordinate procurement with Central Procurement Group. Process Adherence • Complies with company defined guidelines and processes
  • Adheres to project timelines Process Improvement
  • Identifies processes/procedures in own work area that need improvement
  • Recommends process improvement ideas to streamline efficiency/costs/productivity
  • Undertakes process improvement activities in own work area Learning and Development
  • Identifies self development needs
  • Takes concrete steps to pursue self development through training, education, projects etc.

Education Qualification & Experience

BE (Civil), PGDACM (NICMAR) / ME / M Tech (Construction Management)

Working knowledge in MS Projects and /or Primavera Should possess 12+ years of planning experience in large construction projects (residential multi-storied apartment complex / townships) out of which 6-8 years at construction site in execution role will be an advantage. To have hands on experience in planning various activities of the projects, coordinating with all departments including micro planning and budgeting.
