Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for raw materials, in-process production, and final products in line with industry and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with quality standards across all production stages.Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Approve raw material and product specifications and ensure strict compliance through laboratory and process audits.Supervise lab operations, including chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing (e.g., spectrometer, XRF, AAS, etc.).Liaise with production, RD, dispatch, and marketing teams to address and resolve quality concerns.Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and other dispatch-related quality documentation.Handle internal and external quality audits, including customer and third-party inspections.Conduct root cause analysis for customer complaints, non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Train quality team and production staff on quality protocols and regulatory compliance.Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all quality operations.

Desired Profile

Degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry.Minimum 10 years of experience in quality functions within steel, ferro alloys, or heavy industry.Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, testing methods, and international quality standards.Familiarity with quality tools like 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.Proficient in MS Office, ERP, and LIMS systems.RegardsRahulMobile:8530140739Email: headstart@headstartindia.orgThis job is provided by Shine.com
