Manager, Quality Assurance

Role Overview: As a Manager, Quality Assurance, you will lead quality assurance initiatives in software development for ship survey and engineering solutions. This role requires a blend of manual and automation testing expertise along with modern DevOps practices to ensure product excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage QA activities across manual and automation testing streams. - Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and scripts using Jira and X-Ray. - Implement and optimize automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright. - Oversee defect tracking and resolution processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. - Manage test repositories and version control using GitHub. - Ensure traceability of requirements using Jira, X-Ray, and Confluence. - Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions. - Conduct risk-based testing and impact analysis. - Mentor and guide QA engineers on best practices and tools. - Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and methodologies. - Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. - Report on quality metrics and KPIs to stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Support product delivery teams with timely and high-quality releases. - Balance the need for high quality and reliability with the business's need for speed and iterative delivery. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 12 years of experience in software quality assurance including 5 years management experience. - Proven experience in both manual and automation testing. - Strong leader in QA Process and Strategies to remodel everything from scratch. - Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Jira, X-Ray, and GitHub. - Experience in managing QA teams and working in Agile environments. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions. - Strong trainer and administrative experience to lead a larger Team. - Experience in the marine or engineering domain is a plus.
