Role & responsibilities Job Title: Purchase Manager Department: Purchase Location: Hyderabad Job Summary: The Purchase Manager will be responsible for leading the procurement function, developing and implementing purchasing strategies, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality materials, goods, and services. Procurement of mechanical, electrical, automation items. Well versed with bought out items majorly with electrical and automation items. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement (30%) 1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives. 2. Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and customer requirements. 3. Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier consolidation. 4. Identify effective sourcing channels and partners. 5. Lead time alignment. Vendor/Supplier Management (25%) 1. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors /suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. 2. Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms, with suppliers keeping organization and customer interests in mind. 3. Monitor supplier performance, resolving issues and implementing corrective actions as needed. Procurement Operations (20%) 1. Manage the procurement process, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. 2. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Design engineering, Automation, Production Assembly and Quality) to ensure procurement alignment with business needs. 3. Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and documentation. Team Management (15%) 1. Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. 2. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the procurement team. Performance Measurement and Reporting (10%)* 1. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance. 2. Provide regular reports to management on procurement performance, trends, and issues. Requirements: Education: B Tech ECE/EEE Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing Special Purpose Machines. Skills: - Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. - Proficient in procurement software, ERP NEXT , and Microsoft Office. Certifications: - Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification is desirable. Salary Range: 8 to 10 Lac Per Annum Preferred candidate profile
