Procurement & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for STP/ETP-related equipment, consumables, and civil/mechanical/electrical items (pumps, blowers, diffusers, membranes, valves, pipes, instruments).
- Develop and maintain vendor database with focus on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and supply agreements to optimize procurement cost.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Material Planning & Purchase Execution
- Prepare purchase schedules based on project requirements, BOQ, and work execution plan.
- Issue purchase orders, follow-up on delivery schedules, and ensure timely supply to project sites.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of critical items without overstocking.
- Coordinate with stores and project teams for material requirement forecasts.
Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor procurement costs against budget and prepare cost-saving strategies.
- Compare quotations, analyze rate differences, and finalize best techno-commercial offers.
- Maintain purchase MIS reports for management review.
Coordination & Support
- Work closely with Project Managers, Design Team, and Site Engineers to understand material specifications and requirements.
- Liaise with logistics/transporters to ensure safe and timely delivery at project locations.
- Resolve vendor-related issues like delays, rejections, or warranty claims.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure purchase documentation as per ISO/Company standards.
- Verify quality certificates, test reports, and vendor compliance for STP/ETP critical components.
- Keep updated with industry standards, statutory requirements, and new technologies in wastewater treatment equipment.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of STP/ETP equipment and consumables (pumps, blowers, valves, diffusers, membranes, chemicals, control panels).
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and costing skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering OR MBA (Materials/Operations).
Experience: 510 years in purchase/procurement in EPC/Water Treatment/STP/ETP industries.
Preferred: Knowledge of supply chain management for project-based companies.
