Job Description:
The R&D Manager, Product Management leads a team of Product Analysts and Product Owners to drive operational excellence, execution discipline, and data-driven decision-making across the Product Management organization. This role builds and scales the systems, tools, and processes that enable predictable, high-quality product delivery aligned to business strategy. This leader will partner across the Healthcare IT business to create visibility, streamline execution, improve roadmap transparency, and accelerate time to value.
Technical / Managerial Responsibilities

Distill department Objectives, Goals, Strategy and Mission into performance objectives for direct reports.
Business Responsibilities:

Drive financial accountability across direct team and roll-up (if applicable) at a project level. Responsible for budget creation and contributing to higher-level R&D budget at business unit level, projections, and tracking activities.

Partner with senior leaders to strategize and execute customer facing activities like Voice of Customer and customer centric design across the business.

Partner with customers and internal / external key opinion leaders (KOLs) to develop technical strategies that meet clinical / business needs.

Collaborate on financial / business modeling and contribute to strategy and execution for one or more product segments / business function.
Product Execution & Operational Excellence

Partner with Portfolio Marketing to align roadmaps to customer problems and strategic priorities.

Collaborate with R&D leadership to remove delivery blockers and ensure cross-team alignment.

Serve as a key voice in Quarterly Business Reviews, roadmap reviews, and customer escalations.

Build a culture of ownership, data-driven decision making, and customer empathy within the team.

Establish operational standards for backlog readiness, roadmap traceability, Aha/Jira hygiene, and release reporting.

Drive consistency and quality in product planning processesplanning inputs, capacity/velocity reporting, dependency tracking.

Ensure effective coordination between Product Owners and Program Management to support commercialization milestones.

Own the product technology stack (Aha!, Jira, Confluence, analytics dashboards), ensuring adoption and scalability.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of, experience in, and ability to mentor in one or more technical / functional disciplines.
Leadership Experience:

General knowledge of the healthcare market and competitors.

Experience leading product delivery operations within Agile software development.

Strong understanding of backlog management best practices and release planning.

Experience working in SaaS, AI/ML, or platform-based product environments preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or applicable technical field.

8+ years applicable experience, with 2+ years direct people management experience preferred
