Engineering to join our growing Product organization In this leadership role, you will play a key part in building, mentoring, and guiding a high-performing engineering team focused on delivering secure, scalable, and AI-powered cybersecurity solutions Youll be responsible for overseeing technical execution, ensuring alignment with product goals, and helping scale our engineering capabilities in India, We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong background in software development, a passion for emerging technologies such as AI and cybersecurity, and a track record of building solutions from scratch and scaling teams around them This role blends deep technical insight with strong people management and cross-functional collaboration, In This Role, Youll Get To Build and lead a talented engineering team based in Bangalore, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement Work closely with Product Managers to translate product vision into scalable, high-quality deliverables Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across the full software development lifecycle Drive architectural decisions, code quality, and technical roadmaps for key product initiatives Collaborate across engineering, product, and design to accelerate innovation and delivery Establish best practices in engineering execution, code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines Identify and remove roadblocks to ensure team velocity and product success Ensure engineering output aligns with Deepwatchs security, reliability, and performance standards Support hiring efforts and help grow our presence in India To be successful in this role, youll need to: Have 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 23 years in a managerial or tech lead role Demonstrate proficiency in languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, Spring Boot, or Go, and strong architectural expertise in microservices or distributed systems Bring hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure Have a solid grasp of modern CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated testing Be familiar with data platforms and messaging systems like Kafka, OpenSearch, RabbitMQ, and Snowflake Understand core cybersecurity principles and ideally have worked in a cybersecurity or AI-driven product environment Excel in people management?mentoring engineers, conducting performance reviews, and fostering team growth Be highly collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a hybrid work environment Preferred Skills Experience working with AI/ML tools, vector databases, or large language models Prior exposure to security operations tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, etc) Familiarity with
