Manager, Product Engineering

As a Manager, Product Engineering at Endpoint, you will play a crucial role in the development of new and existing products, as well as in building and implementing coherent and scalable development processes. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of software engineers, collaborating with product management, cloud architecture, and hosting operation teams, and providing technical direction and business guidance. You will be instrumental in improving the software development life cycle (SDLC) by suggesting practices that enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Your role will involve working closely with product managers to ensure clear product requirements and optimal product design. You will review and provide feedback on architectural decisions to ensure technical soundness. Additionally, you will establish, document, and enforce quality processes within the software development team, including coding standards, code reviews, unit testing, and other standard operating procedures. Furthermore, as the Manager, Product Engineering, you will ensure proper and timely documentation is filed with the Endpoint QA team and represent R&D Software Development during audits and inspections. You will also serve as an escalation point for technical issues related to product releases or product delivery involving the managed team. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, along with 10+ years of experience in software development using Microsoft technologies. You should also have 4+ years of experience as an engineering manager and 2+ years of experience in cloud technologies, with a preference for Azure. A proven track record in the delivery of enterprise software products and a deep understanding of programming principles and design patterns are essential. Your skills should include demonstrated technical leadership and people supervision abilities, excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, and a fast-learning aptitude. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate excellent time management and organizational abilities.
