Job Description Manager, OEM Sales Category Details Position Title Location Manager OEM Sales Pune, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu Department Reporting To Sales Head OEM Sales Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred 812 years in steel/metals industry sales, with at least 5 years in OEM account management (auto, general engineering, appliances, fabrication, PEBs , Construction, Infra Projects , Solar). Prefered from Coated Steel Industry Experience Key Responsibilities (with KPIs) Area Description Manage & grow OEM clients across auto, engineering, and appliances. Drive volume and margin growth via solution-based selling. Identify & onboard new OEM customers in priority sectors. Conduct technical presentations and plant visits OEM Account Management Business Growth New OEM Acquisition Customer Engagement Negotiation & Contracting Cross-functional Collaboration Market Intelligence Lead price discussions, long-term supply agreements. Work with supply chain, production & logistics for seamless deliveries. Track competitors, pricing & product trends; advise management. Ensure collections within norms. Collections & Credit Control Reporting & Forecasting Maintain accurate CRM pipelines & MIS. Key Skills & Competencies (Must-Have) Skill Area Requirement Strong ability to close deals, structure contracts, and maximize profitability. Proven track record managing multi-crore OEM accounts. Sales & Negotiation Key Account Management Industry Knowledge Digital Tools Deep understanding of coated steel in auto, appliances, fabrication. CRM tool like SAP, MS Excel/Power BI. Customer Centricity Strategic Thinking Sustainability Mindset Soft Skills Ability to translate OEM requirements into tailored solutions. Forecasting, market expansion, competitive positioning. Promotes green steel, ESG compliance, and sustainable OEM partnerships . Strong communication, influencing, and cross-cultural collaboration. Ability to mentor junior sales executives and drive performance. Leadership
