Manager - Occupation Health Centre (OHC) Department

1. Medical Surveillance & Health Monitoring

• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations as per statutory norms (e.g., Factories Act, 1948).
• Maintain and update employee health records (Form 7, Form 32, etc.).
• Monitor exposure-related health issues (dust, heat, noise, chemicals) and advise preventive measures.
• Identify and manage occupational diseases (e.g., NIHL, pneumoconiosis, dermatitis).

2. Emergency Medical Care & First Aid

• Provide immediate care in case of workplace accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with nearby hospitals for secondary/tertiary care, if needed.
• Maintain and manage occupational health center/dispensary including emergency kits and medications.

3. Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable health-related legal provisions (Factories Act, State Pollution Control Board, ESIC, etc.).
• Liaise with statutory bodies during audits and inspections.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings and submit health-related reports.

4. Health Promotion & Employee Wellness

• Organize health awareness programs and vaccination drives.
• Counsel employees on lifestyle diseases (e.g., hypertension, diabetes) and occupational risks.
• Contribute to mental health awareness and stress management initiatives.

5. Risk Assessment & Workplace Visits

• Participate in Health Risk Assessments (HRA) and industrial hygiene studies.
• Conduct regular workplace visits to assess ergonomic, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Work with the Safety and Environment teams to implement hazard control measures.

Qualifications:

• MBBS

  from a recognized institution (MCI-registered).

• AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health)

  certification

• MD in Occupational Health / Community Medicine / Industrial Health

  (preferred but not mandatory).
