Job Purpose:-
To lead marketing, sales, and business development for the Turmeric Powder division across domestic and international markets, with a strong focus on Middle East expansion and subsequent entry into European markets.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Market Study & Strategy Planning:
- Conduct market study on Turmeric Powder demand, pricing, competition, and customer preferences.
- Create and execute a marketing strategy for domestic and export markets.
- Identify product positioning, packaging trends, and pricing strategies.
2. Domestic Sales & Business Development:
- Generate sales across B2B, B2C, Institutional, and
HoReCa sectors
. - Plan and execute BTL activities such as sampling, chef demos, hotel/restaurant tie-ups, and on-ground promotions.
- Expand distribution channels and ensure retail visibility.
3. Corporate & Listed Company Coordination:
- Engage with
Public listed companies
for bulk sourcing and long-term contracts. - Prepare proposals, presentations, and product documentation.
4. International Market Development:
A. Middle East Market Priority-
- Prepare and execute a targeted business plan for the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia).
- Identify importers, distributors, traders, and food processing companies.
- Build partnerships and explore immediate sales opportunities.
- Understand region-specific standards and logistics requirements.
B. European Market Next Phase-
- Plan gradual entry into European markets after Middle East establishment.
- Study EU food standards, packaging norms, certifications (HACCP, ISO, EU compliance).
- Identify buyers, distributors, and import houses in Europe.
5. Export Operations Support:
- Coordinate with export/logistics teams on documentation, quality compliance, certifications, and shipments.
6. Branding, Promotion & BTL Activities:
- Execute digital, offline, and on-ground promotional strategies.
- Represent the company in national/international trade fairs, expos, and buyerseller meets.
7. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with domestic distributors, HoReCa partners, and international buyers.
- Handle negotiations, pricing, and issue resolution.
8. Sales Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor overall sales performance, revenue generation, and turnover for the Turmeric Powder division.
- Track sales against targets, identify gaps, and take corrective actions.
- Provide weekly/monthly sales reports, market intelligence, and demand forecasts.
- Recommend improvements based on customer and market feedback.
Preferred Candidate Profile
BE- Food Technology or BE - Mechanical + MBA (Marketing)
preferred.
- Experience in FMCG/spices/agro products domestically and internationally.
- Exposure to Middle East or European markets is an advantage.
