Manager - Logistics (Domestic & Export)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Freight Management

• Ensure vehicle availability as per plan and monitor inbound & outbound freight movements across India.
• Plan and monitor export shipments (FCL, LCL, Air, Courier).
• Coordinate with transporters, CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for timely clearance and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, E-way bill, and port-related regulations; manage documentation for dispatch.
• Optimize routes, loads, and utilization to reduce costs.
• Track shipments, clearances, and proactively resolve delays/issues.
• Monitor and improve freight KPIs (OTIF, transit time, cost per unit).
  

2. Vendor Management

• Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with domestic transporters, CHA, and freight forwarders.
• Evaluate and monitor vendor performance and compliance.
• Ensure timely payments, documentation, and resolution of disputes.
  

3. Cost & Performance Management

• Track domestic & export freight costs, analyze variances, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
• Prepare and monitor freight budgets.
• Drive initiatives for container consolidation and route optimization
  

4. Process Improvement

• Drive initiatives to improve TAT and reduce dwell times in freight operations.
• Implement tracking systems and dashboards for real-time monitoring.
• Identify opportunities for digitization and automation in freight & export operations.

• Ability to handle emergencies and resolve operational bottlenecks
  

Qualification:

• Graduate in any discipline
• MBA/PG in Logistics / Supply Chain Management / International Business preferred
