Manager, Field Engineering
in
India
.In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of Solutions Architects focused on Data & AI for large enterprise and strategic accounts. You will play a key part in expanding the Field Engineering organization, driving technical pre-sales excellence, and delivering business-value-focused solutions to top-tier clients. Your work will involve coaching and mentoring your team, scaling operations, and building strong relationships with C-suite stakeholders. You will also contribute to strategic planning, promoting a collaborative, customer-obsessed culture, and enhancing the impact of the team across the sales cycle. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
Accountabilities:
- Build, manage, and scale the Pre-Sales team of Solutions Architects in the Data & AI domain
- Coach and mentor team members to effectively understand customer business needs and identify revenue opportunities
- Lead technical pre-sales efforts, positioning solutions, articulating business value, and supporting various stages of the sales cycle
- Engage with C-level and executive stakeholders to build credibility and trust in strategic accounts
- Promote solution and value-based selling while fostering a collaborative and customer-obsessed team culture
- Provide feedback and insights from the field to shape organizational strategy and roadmap
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing managerial roles, managing technical teams
- Proven ability to scale and mentor teams across in-person and remote models
- Expertise in Big Data architecture, including Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, and Data Science
- Experience working with strategic Banking, Financial Services, or Digital Enterprise accounts generating +$1M ARR
- Strong knowledge of AI, data-driven decision making, and cloud-based software solutions
- Familiarity with Apache Spark™ and the broader Databricks ecosystem
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
