Role Purpose
The main role of IHG’s Manager, Development Projects is to support IHG’s ambitious growth plan across SWA via innovative ways of development looking for incremental growth opportunities and larger partnerships.
Key Accountabilities
Leading any non-standard deals (eg. portfolio reviews, co-branding opportunities, etc.) in cooperation with the market teamsWorking closely with in market teams on deal structure and closure.Provide support to VP and market teams in initiating and closing Luxury dealsPrevious demonstrated experience with multiple deal types (franchise, managed, lease, acquisitions)Shows understanding of the economics of a hotel project, return on investment calculations and what drives clients decisionsGood interpersonal skills and contacts for influencing multiple stakeholders such as clients and internal teamsProven project management skillsFinancial modelling experience would be a plusEntrepreneurial spirit with a tendency for thinking innovatively – able to find deals and pitch ideas internally

Required Skills
Key Skills & Experiences
- Effective organization and time-management skills. Strong analytical, negotiation, and consensus-building skills, effective presentation, communications and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented. Proficient PC skills, especially Power Point and Excel.
- Require moderate to significant travel.
Qualifications
- University degree or above.
- Additional background in legal, technical and business development is an advantage
- Basic command on English in writing and oral
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years hotel or commercial real estate development related working experience with solid client relationship and connection.
