Manager - Design

Role Overview: You will be responsible for taking inputs from the sales team and preparing concepts in a timely manner, conceptualizing new designs and design revisions. Additionally, you will ensure the availability of major components and check compatibility. Prototyping and testing according to customer requirements will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Drive forward product development, innovate to generate engineering advantage for customers, and think creatively to develop new/improved solutions - Identify and implement design improvements in terms of functionality, cost, and design for manufacture - Provide support to production to enhance lead times - Analyze issues for resolution, such as stresses, using tools like Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) - Conduct product analysis for global clients - Develop simple and effective technical delivery processes to improve production time - Manage all design activities, including Customized products, Design freeze/release, DFMEA, Production Part Approval Process, and Design Verification - Lead the team in creating 3D models for systems, products, and components using CAD - Monitor task completion, ensure good performance, and record progress on appropriate systems - Provide technical expertise to the team - Approve suppliers for major components - Develop new suppliers/vendors for critical components/processes and deal with parts suppliers, involving Purchasing when necessary Qualifications Required: - Solidworks proficiency - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Strong negotiation skills - Proficiency in English and Hindi - Hardworking and proactive attitude Additional Company Details: The company may have additional details not included in the job description provided.
