Role Overview

The Manager – Clean Energy Solutions (Solar & BESS) will be responsible for driving business development and solution sales for C&I customers. The role requires a strong understanding of customer energy needs, the ability to design and propose tailored solar + BESS solutions, and ownership of the sales cycle from lead generation to closure.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative selling, long-term client relationships, and working at the intersection of technology, finance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and pursue C&I customers for rooftop, ground-mounted solar, and BESS solutions
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, pitch, proposal, negotiation, and closure
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline
2. Solutioning & Customer Advisory
  • Understand customer load profiles, energy costs, and reliability requirements
  • Work with internal teams to design optimal solar & BESS solutions
  • Clearly communicate technical, commercial, and financial benefits to customers
3. Proposal & Deal Closure
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and business cases
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions
  • Coordinate internally to ensure smooth handover post closure
4. Market & Relationship Building
  • Build long-term relationships with CXOs, plant heads, and energy managers
  • Track market trends, policies, and competitor offerings
  • Represent SunInfra Energies at industry forums and client meetings

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required:
  • 4–8 years of experience in 

    solar / renewable energy sales

     (C&I segment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of rooftop solar, open access, or BESS solutions
  • Ability to explain technical solutions in simple, business-oriented language
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong ownership and target orientation
Preferred:
  • Experience selling EPC / RESCO / hybrid models
  • Exposure to C&I energy consumers (manufacturing, FMCG, pharma, etc.)
  • Understanding of electricity tariffs, demand charges, and load profiles
