Manager Civil

Hiring for Civil Execution for leading steel industry.

Location: Andhra Pradesh

Exp: 8 to 16 years

Qualification: BE/B. Tech Civil

Must have experience in greenfield project.

Preferred experience in steel plant/iron making/rolling mill.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for all civil works.
• Resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinating with various departments, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure a smooth workflow.

Site Supervision

• Direct and supervise all on-site civil construction activities. This includes monitoring the progress of work, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols, and resolving any technical issues that arise during construction

Quality Control

• Implement and maintain a rigorous quality control system to ensure all civil works meet project specifications and industry standards. They perform regular inspections and audits to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.

Safety Management

• Enforce strict safety regulations on the construction site. The civil manager is responsible for conducting safety briefings, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all workers comply with safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Budget and Cost Control

• Manage the project budget for all civil works. This involves tracking expenses, preparing cost reports, and identifying potential cost-saving measures without compromising on quality or safety. They also review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers

Contract Management

• Administer and manage contracts with various subcontractors and suppliers. This includes negotiating terms, monitoring performance, and ensuring that all contractual obligations are met

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive records of all project activities, including daily progress reports, site diaries, and quality and safety records. They prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting project status, challenges, and solutions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Coordinate with other project managers and departments, such as Mechanical, Electrical and process engineering, to ensure seamless integration & smooth handing over of front to E&I systems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies regarding all civil matters.
