Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction: Defines the overall data science strategy, aligning it with business objectives in media and audience measurement. Identifies key areas for data-driven innovation and growth.
- Project Management & Oversight: Manages the entire lifecycle of data science projects, from conceptualization and resource allocation to execution, monitoring, and delivery. Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Acts as the primary interface between the data science team and internal/external stakeholders (e.g., product development, sales, marketing, clients). Translates complex technical concepts into understandable business insights and manages expectations.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Provides guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and career growth.
- Technical Guidance & Quality Assurance: Provides high-level technical oversight, reviews methodologies, and ensures the quality and accuracy of data science
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Background: Deep understanding of data science principles, methodologies, and advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and data engineering fundamentals.
- Domain Expertise: Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in the media and audience measurement industry, with a proven track record of applying data science to solve complex challenges related to audience segmentation, content consumption, ad effectiveness, and media planning.
- Leadership & Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a technical team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to envision and implement long-term data strategies that contribute to business growth and competitive advantage.
