Job Description: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) – Chemosyn Limited, Vapi, Gujarat Position: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) Location: Vapi, Gujarat Company: Chemosyn Limited Experience Level: Fresher and Experienced Salary:₹20,000-₹25,000 Job Summary: The Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of machinery and equipment at Chemosyn Limited’s manufacturing facility in Vapi, Gujarat. The role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical and electrical systems to support uninterrupted production processes. Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems of production machinery and equipment. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical faults to ensure minimal downtime. • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure equipment efficiency and compliance with safety standards. • Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, pumps, bearings, electrical circuits, and control systems. • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting operations. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment performance. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and company policies during maintenance tasks. • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or upgrades. • For experienced candidates: Lead a team of technicians, provide technical guidance, and implement process improvements. • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in mechanical/electrical maintenance. Qualifications and Skills: • For Freshers: • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute. • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, gearboxes, conveyors) and electrical systems (e.g., motors, PLCs, control panels). • Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and troubleshooting techniques. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. • Good communication and teamwork abilities. • For Experienced Candidates: • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (preferably in pharmaceutical or chemical industries). • Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems of industrial machinery. • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and other automation systems. • Ability to lead maintenance teams and manage spare parts inventory. • Knowledge of safety standards, GMP, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment. Additional Requirements: • Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Physical fitness to handle on-site maintenance tasks. • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment is a plus. Work Environment: • The role involves working in a manufacturing plant with exposure to machinery, tools, and industrial environments. • Adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE is mandatory.
