Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all material handling equipment including cranes, forklifts (diesel/electric), trailers, and related machinery. Your key responsibilities will include: - Supervising a team of technicians and operators to ensure equipment availability and reliability. - Planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. - Ensuring spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor coordination for timely repairs. - Maintaining maintenance records, checklists, and compliance logs as per statutory requirements. - Training operators and maintenance staff on safe and efficient equipment handling. - Monitoring equipment performance and suggesting upgrades, replacements, and cost-saving measures. - Enforcing strict adherence to safety standards, port regulations, and OEM guidelines. - Working closely with the operations team to align maintenance schedules with cargo handling requirements. - Being responsible for budgeting, P&L awareness, and cost optimization in maintenance operations. Qualifications / Skills required for this role include: - Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred). - Strong technical expertise in material handling equipment. - Hands-on experience in managing maintenance teams at ports / terminals / logistics hubs. - Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.,
