Job Description

Role Overview: As a Maintenance Incharge in the catering industry with multi-kitchen operations, your mission is to ensure the seamless, safe, and efficient operation of all kitchen equipment, utilities, and facility infrastructure. This involves minimizing downtime, ensuring compliance, and maximizing equipment lifespan through expert technical oversight, proactive maintenance planning, and hands-on leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for critical kitchen equipment and facility systems. - Manage the annual maintenance budget, prioritize critical repairs, and upgrades. - Lead, mentor, and schedule the maintenance team to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and locations. - Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, work orders, spare parts inventory, and equipment history. - Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining critical systems like boilers, motors, exhaust systems, refrigeration, and processing equipment. - Execute and supervise scheduled PM tasks rigorously, respond urgently to equipment failures, and coordinate with external vendors when necessary. - Ensure all maintenance work adheres to strict safety standards, food safety regulations, and local statutory requirements. - Train kitchen staff and maintenance technicians on equipment operation, safety, and procedures. - Communicate effectively with Kitchen Managers, Chefs, and Operations Management regarding maintenance schedules and critical issues. - Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, downtime analysis, and cost tracking. Qualification Required: - Education: ITI (Electrical/Mechanical/Fitter) Diploma or equivalent. A Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is highly preferred. - Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in the hospitality/catering industry or a similar industrial setting. - Technical Skills: Proven expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial boilers, electric motors, kitchen exhaust systems, refrigeration systems, and processing machinery. - Certifications: Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) certificate, Refrigeration handling certificate, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certifications are highly desirable. - Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
