Magento2 Frontend Developer

Required Technical Skills:

1. Experience:

   Minimum of 5-7 years

2. Programming Language:

    PHP.

3. Web Technologies

   : HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Tailwind CSS, Alpine JS, SCSS.

4. Certification:

    Magento 2 Frontend Developer Certification (preferred but not mandatory).

5. Mandatory Skills

   :

• Magento 2 frontend development.
• Theme development and module integration.
• Magento's templating system (PHTML, XML, and layout updates).
• Cross-browser compatibility and responsive web design.

• Hyvä Theme Integration

  :

a. Configure, customize, and extend the Hyvä theme.

b. Create custom components and features using Hyvä.

c. Implement and customize Hyvä Checkout in Magento 2 projects.

d. Familiarity with Magento performance best practices (caching, lazy loading, image optimization).

e. Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals and how Hyvä improves them.

• React.js

  :

a. Frontend UI development for interactive and dynamic interfaces.

b. Component-based architecture development.

c. State management using tools like Redux, Context API, or Zustand.

d. Consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

e. Cross-browser compatibility.

f. Writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest, React Testing Library).

g. Responsive design using Polaris, Tailwind CSS, or styled-components.

Relevant Experience:

1. 5+ years of experience working specifically with Magento 2 frontend development.
2. Proven experience in implementing custom designs and themes for Magento 2 stores.
3. Experience with Hyvä theme-based projects is mandatory.
4. Experience in optimizing frontend performance for Magento 2 websites.
5. Experience integrating and working with Magento GraphQL APIs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product managers to understand project requirements and translate them into functional, visually appealing frontend solutions.
2. Develop custom themes, templates, and layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Alpine JS, and Tailwind CSS for Magento 2 projects.
3. Customize and extend Magento’s frontend components (blocks, templates, widgets) to meet business and technical requirements.
4. Configure, customize, and extend Hyvä Theme and implement Hyvä Checkout.
5. Integrate third-party extensions and modules to enhance store functionality.
6. Optimize frontend performance, ensuring fast load times, reduced HTTP requests, and adherence to Core Web Vitals.
7. Work on consuming and integrating GraphQL APIs and RESTful services.
8. Build dynamic, interactive user interfaces using React.js for specific modules or PWA-like features.
9. Develop reusable and maintainable React components, manage state, and ensure API-driven data handling.
10. Conduct thorough testing and debugging for high-quality frontend deliverables.
11. Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in Magento 2 frontend development, Hyvä, and React.js.
12. Support and mentor junior frontend developers, if applicable.
