Basic Information

Position Title: Macroeconomic Data Analyst

Experience Level: 2 - 3 years

Department: Investment Ops and Risk Services

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

We are looking for a junior automation expert to support our macroeconomic research and data operations through automation and scripting. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Excel Macros, VBA, and Python, and a keen interest in economic data analysis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about streamlining data workflows and contributing to impactful economic insights.

Candidates with relevant experience in KPO/Offshore set-up will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Macroeconomics research:

• Write macroeconomic snippets within short turnaround time
• Daily news summarization covering different countries
• Collaborate with team members and analysts to understand automation needs and deliver efficient solutions.
• Document automation workflows and maintain version control of scripts and tools.
• Support the preparation of automated charts, tables, and presentations for economic publications and briefings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Excel and Python environments related to data integrity and automation logic.

Must have experience in :

1 Foundational understanding of statistics and economic concepts.

2 Proficient in coding using Python or Excel.

3 Practical experience executing basic automation projects, including tasks such as data fetching, cleaning, collating, and analysis.
