Role: Machine Floor Incharge

Location: CoimbatoreType: Full-Time | On-Site

Role Overview

As a Machine Floor Incharge, you will oversee daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring timely and efficient production of components for the assembly and production departments. This role involves managing manpower, assigning tasks, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring inventory control and machine maintenance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage daily operations on the machine shop floor.
Strategically allocate jobs to machinists to meet production deadlines.
Coordinate with the production department to ensure timely delivery of components.
Monitor and maintain machinery performance, scheduling preventive maintenance as required.
Manage raw material stock and finished components inventory.
Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Lead, train, and motivate machine shop team members to achieve optimal performance.
Prepare daily reports and maintain accurate documentation for work allocation and output.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in machine shop floor management (preferably in motor/pump or precision component industries).Strong communication and leadership skills.Proficiency in inventory and workflow management systems.Ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues and improve process efficiencies.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Experience with CNC/Lathe operations and knowledge of machining tolerances is an added advantage.
