As a Logistics Manager in Ambala within the Food Processing / Frozen Foods / FMCG industry, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end logistics operations including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods. Your primary focus will be to ensure timely procurement and delivery across vendors, warehouses, and distributors by coordinating with procurement, production, sales, and warehouse teams to align supply and demand. You will be expected to monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, while supervising warehouse operations to maintain optimal space utilization, FIFO/FEFO practices, and hygiene standards in alignment with FSSAI norms. Additionally, you will be required to plan dispatches meticulously to uphold cold chain integrity for frozen/chilled products. In terms of transportation management, you will be responsible for route planning to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery. Negotiating with transporters and logistics partners for better freight rates and service levels will also be part of your role, along with tracking shipments to ensure on-time deliveries with zero damage or spoilage. Maintaining accurate documentation for dispatches, gate passes, GRNs, invoices, and e-way bills will be crucial, while ensuring compliance with FSSAI, GST, and other transport regulations. You will also be expected to manage cold chain transportation logs, including temperature records and handling logs. A key aspect of your role will involve team leadership, where you will manage and train logistics staff, loaders, drivers, and warehouse helpers. Conducting regular audits to enhance operational efficiency and prevent losses will also be vital. To excel in this role, you must possess strong knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain best practices. Familiarity with cold chain logistics and food safety handling is essential, along with proficiency in Excel, Tally/ERP systems, and logistics management software. Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are highly valued. Ideally, you should hold a Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. A certification in SCM/Logistics Management would be advantageous, and experience in a food processing or FMCG environment is highly preferred for this position.,
