Role Overview
We’re seeking a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to run end-to-end logistics across inbound, in-plant/store movements, and outbound dispatches. You will arrange vehicles from multiple vendors, manage our in-house vehicle movements, ensure compliant documentation (GST invoices, E-Way Bill, LR/POD, vehicle/driver papers), and enforce safe loading as per checklists to achieve on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries with zero damage.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound (Imports & Domestic):
*Plan and arrange vehicles from vendors for inbound raw materials from ports (e.g., Nhava Sheva/JNPT) or delivery hubs to factory/stores.
*Coordinate with Purchase department for arrival schedules, customs clearances, and gate-in/gate-out planning.
*Track shipments; manage LR/GRN creation and coordinate receiving of goods at stores.
In-plant / Inter-store Movements:
*Schedule and operate internal movements using company owned vehicles (stores ↔ fabrication ↔ assembly and other combinations).
*Optimize routes, cycles, and utilization; ensure vehicle upkeep, charging schedules, and basic preventive maintenance coordination.
Outbound Dispatches:
*Arrange third-party vehicles for finished machines to customer warehouses across Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and other cities.
*Create/verify dispatch plans, packing lists, and ensure OTIF execution with proper LR and POD collection.
Documentation & Compliance:
*Verify GST invoices, E-Way Bills, delivery challans, LR/consignment notes; ensure E-Way Bill validity (distance & time), HSN correctness, and customer GSTIN/address accuracy.
*Verify vehicle fitness certificate, RC, insurance, PUC, and driver’s valid license before loading.
*Maintain vendor KYC, contracts, and rate cards; manage transit insurance declarations/claims with insurers if needed.
Load Safety & Quality:
*Enforce loading checklists (strapping, padding, corner protection, palletization, shrink/stretch wrapping as applicable).
*Conduct pre-dispatch QC photos and seal-tagging; ensure zero visible damages.
Tracking & Customer Coordination:
*Share daily dispatch trackers with internal teams and customers; provide proactive delay alerts and revised ETAs.
*Secure timely PODs; close deliveries in the system and trigger invoicing as per SOP.
Systems & Reporting:
*Use ERP (or advanced Excel/Google Sheets) for planning and record-keeping.
Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate in Supply Chain/Logistics (or equivalent experience of similar work without graduation).
Experience: 1–2 years in logistics coordination/dispatch in manufacturing or industrial products; multi-city dispatch exposure a must.
Technical:
*Strong working knowledge of GST invoices, E-Way Bills, LR/POD, and basic import workflows.
*Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets; familiar with ERP tools.
*Practical understanding of load securing, packaging, and basic vehicle types (pickup, LCV, container, etc.).
Soft Skills: Excellent coordination, negotiation with transporters, problem-solving under time pressure, and clear communication.
Languages: Marathi, Hindi, and English (working proficiency).
Nice-to-Have (not mandatory)
*Experience coordinating with JNPT/Nhava Sheva movements.
*Prior handling of marine/transit insurance claims.
*Knowledge of route planning, cube/weight utilization, and freight optimization.
*Familiarity with safety practices and 5S in stores/dispatch.
Work Conditions
*Schedule: On-site, day shift with flexibility for dispatch peaks/weekends.
*Travel: Local travel for Transporter Hub goods clearance, stores ↔ fabrication unit ↔ assembly unit ↔ outsourcing vendor location travel, port liaison (as needed), and customer warehouses.
*Physical: Ability to supervise loading/unloading areas and perform visual checks.
