JOB DESCRIPTION:

FUNCTION: Supply Chain

ROLE: Assistant Manager Logistics

QUALIFICATION: Graduate / MBA (SCM preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

1. Must have 7–9 years in FMCG logistics/dispatch/warehouse

  • FMCG warehouse & dispatch operations knowledge
  • ERP/SAP/WMS system handling
  • MS Excel & reporting (V-lookup, Pivot preferred)
  • E-way bill portal expertise
  • Knowledge of FMCG distributor network & logistics cycle
  • Team leadership & vendor management, Discipline – Hygiene & Compliance, Strong follow up & coordination skills, Decision making pressure handling

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispatch Planning & Execution

  • Coordinate daily dispatch plan as per sales orders & market demand.
  • Prioritize Modern Trade Dispatches & Deliveries by considering PO expiry date.
  • Coordinate with Client, agent, transporter, drivers to ensure right time delivery.
  • Ensure dispatches meet OTD (On-Time Delivery) and fill-rate targets.
  • Maintain RTV (Return to Vendor) – proper coordination for Article mismatch / shortage / damaged etc and maintain accurate records of returns with proper reasons, quantity.

Warehouse & Inventory Coordination

  • Monitor FIFO/FEFO practices for FMCG product freshness & shelf life.
  • Track dispatch inventory, report shortages & damages.

Documentation & System Handling

  • Update dispatch details in ERP / SAP / WMS systems.
  • Maintain daily dispatch MIS, vehicle log book & transporter ledger.

Transporter & Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with transport partners for vehicle arrangement and trip planning.
  • Negotiate spot freight & ensure cost control without compromising service.

Quality, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure correct pack size, batch & expiry dispatch as per order.
  • Comply with regulatory norms (Legal Metrology, GST, E-way bills).
  • Adhere to FMCG safety, food handling, and hygiene policies.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Monitor KPIs: OTIF, vehicle turnaround time, freight efficiency, fill rate, FIFO compliance.

  • On-Time Dispatch %
  • OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery
  • Vehicle Turnaround Time
  • Logistics cost per MT / per km
  • Zero dispatch errors & documentation accuracy
  • Market return control & damage rate
  • Factory/Warehouse environment – FMCG food safety norms
  • Must handle peak demand days (month-end / festival season)
  • Travel for transporter coordination / distributor check (if required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
