Local Project Coordinator

November 10–21, 2025.

As part of this initiative, Pyxera Global is seeking to hire a part-time Local Project Coordinator based in Vellore to support the implementation of the program. This individual will play a key role in providing logistical coordination and project management support to a team of high-level corporate volunteers. These volunteers will deliver pro bono consulting services to esteemed partners: Christian Medical College (CMC) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).

The selected Local Project Coordinator’s main responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to, the following.

Project Development & Implementation

• Support Pyxera Global in planning and executing logistical arrangements for the arrival and stay of corporate volunteers.
• Coordinate and participate in preparatory calls with corporate volunteers prior to their arrival.
• Serve as the local liaison between Pyxera Global and partner organizations in Vellore, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
• Maintain consistent and proactive communication with Pyxera Global staff and local stakeholders.
• Attending project meetings alongside corporate volunteers, providing translation support as needed.
• Assist in conducting background research and compiling relevant data to support corporate volunteer project work.
• Document key meeting notes and support the preparation of final deliverables and reports.

Logistics

• Plan and coordinate kick-off and closing events for corporate volunteers and partner organizations.
• Identify and recommend meaningful community engagement opportunities in and around Vellore.
• Develop detailed, location-specific guides and logistical information for Chennai and Vellore.
• Provide in-person orientation for corporate volunteers upon arrival in Vellore, including cultural context and local travel planning.
• Oversee all local travel logistics for corporate volunteers throughout their stay.
• Act as an on-the-ground point of contact for logistical support, resolving issues as they arise.
• Monitor local conditions and coordinate necessary security or safety arrangements for corporate volunteers.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. Must be currently based in Vellore with strong familiarity with the local area and context and must be available to join the team from Nov 10 – 21st
2. Should have professional experience in community engagement, event coordination, communications, and project management. A background in public health is a plus.
3. Demonstrated flexibility and capacity to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
4. Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
5. Confident in facilitating both virtual and in-person meetings or presentation
6. Fluent in both English and Tamil, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary

This is a part-time consulting position with an estimated duration of four months, from August 2025 to November 2025. The engagement will require a total of 15 full working days (8 hours per day) over the course of the project. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and the scope of work.
