Position Overview

As a Server Administrator at Serverwala, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting Linux and/or Windows server environments across global data centers. You will work closely with support, networking, and cloud teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Linux Server Administrator – Responsibilities

Install, configure, and manage Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, AlmaLinux)
Monitor server performance, uptime, and alerts
Troubleshoot OS, application, and service-level issues
Configure web servers (Apache, Nginx)
Implement security hardening, firewall rules (UFW, iptables)
Manage backups, updates, and patching
Support virtualization and cloud environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Linux and/or Windows Server
Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, firewalls)
Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and meet SLAs
Good documentation and communication skills

Good to Have (Added Advantage)

Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
Virtualization: VMware / KVM / Hyper-V
Automation & scripting (Bash / PowerShell)
Docker / Kubernetes exposure
Hosting panels: cPanel / Plesk
