Position Overview

Senior Liferay Developer

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customization

• Design and implement custom portlets, hooks, ext plugins, and themes using Liferay DXP.
• Develop reusable components and templates to streamline portal development.
• Customize workflows, permissions, and content structures within Liferay.

Integration & Architecture

• Integrate Liferay with external systems (ERP, CRM, SSO, etc.) using RESTful/SOAP APIs.
• Collaborate with architects to define scalable and maintainable portal architecture.
• Ensure secure data exchange and compliance with enterprise security standards.

Testing & Optimization

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning.
• Optimize portal performance, caching strategies, and load balancing.
• Monitor and resolve production issues and bugs.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in

  Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate

• Hands-on experience with

  Liferay DXP 7.x

• Portlet development (MVC, JSF, Vaadin)
• Theme and layout customization
• Service Builder and OSGi modules
• Front-end technologies:

  HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, React/Angular (optional)

• Database:

  MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle

• Tools:

  Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, JIRA

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Liferay Developer Certification is a strong plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in deploying Liferay on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with headless CMS and decoupled architecture.
• Exposure to microservices and containerization (Kubernetes).
• Experience working in client-facing roles or consulting environments.
