Job Description

Key Responsibilities

License Management

  • End-to-end responsibility for

    license management

    across platforms.
  • Administer and track licenses, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ensure timely procurement in liaison with Procurement and IT teams.
  • Consolidate licensing agreements to reduce redundancy and cost.
  • Identify and mitigate risks of non-compliance with license agreements.
  • Deploy and manage

    Software Asset Management (SAM)

    tools to track usage and support decisions.

Cloud Cost Optimization

  • Analyze usage across

    multi-cloud platforms

    (AWS, Azure, OCI, IBM).
  • Implement cost optimization strategies such as right-sizing, removing idle resources, and leveraging reserved instances.
  • Use cloud-native and external

    FinOps tools

    to identify and deliver savings opportunities.
  • Provide reports on cloud spend and align costs with organizational budgets.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with Finance to establish and monitor budgets for licenses and cloud services.
  • Regularly report on spending and highlight cost optimization opportunities.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Lead external audits and support dispute resolution when required.

Key Qualifications

  • 38 years of relevant experience

    in license management and cloud cost optimization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in:
    • ITIL processes

    • ITSM administration

      (Manage Engine is a

      must-have

      )
    • SAM (Software Asset Management)

    • HAM (Hardware Asset Management)

    • License Management

      (end-to-end)
  • Strong understanding of

    cloud cost optimization strategies

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    AWS, Azure, OCI, and IBM

    platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud billing, reporting, and FinOps tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
