Manager License and Cloud Cost Optimization

Key Responsibilities

License Management

• Administer and track software licenses across the organization.
• Ensure timely procurement and compliance with licensing terms and policies.
• Consolidate licensing agreements to reduce redundancy and improve cost efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks of non-compliance with license agreements.
• Deploy and manage

  Software Asset Management (SAM)

  tools to monitor usage and support decision-making.

Cloud Cost Optimization

• Analyze usage across multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, IBM).
• Implement cost optimization strategies such as right-sizing, removing idle resources, and leveraging reserved instances.
• Use cloud-native and external

  FinOps tools

  to identify and deliver savings opportunities.
• Provide reports on cloud spend and align costs with organizational budgets.

Budget & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with Finance to establish and monitor budgets for licenses and cloud services.
• Regularly report on spending and highlight cost optimization opportunities.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Lead external audits and support dispute resolution when required.

Key Qualifications

• 38 years of relevant experience

  in license management and cloud cost optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in

  software license management

  and compliance in large organizations.
• Strong understanding of

  cloud cost optimization strategies

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  AWS, Azure, OCI, and IBM

  platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud billing, reporting, and FinOps tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
