Solution Engineer: We are seeking a seasoned Solution Engineer with deep expertise in building and scaling ecommerce platforms and marketplaces. You will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering solutions that drive seamless customer experiences, streamline operations, and scale marketplace ecosystems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms, marketplace integrations, and cloud-native architectures, as well as a strong focus on scalability, performance, and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design: Analyze business requirements for ecommerce and marketplace platforms, translating them into scalable, robust technical solutions. Development: Design and implement features that support marketplace scalability, including multi-vendor capabilities, inventory management, and dynamic pricing models. Integration Expertise : Build and integrate APIs for third-party services such as payment gateways, logistics providers, marketing tools, and seller management systems. Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance and availability of marketplace systems, including optimizing page load times, search functionality, and transaction processes. Scalability : Architect solutions to handle growing marketplace traic, vendor onboarding, and product catalog expansion. Data Strategy : Work with large data sets, ensuring eective integration and processing of customer, vendor, and product data. Customer Experience: Collaborate with UX/UI teams to optimize customer and vendor journeys, including advanced search, personalization, and checkout Compliance and Security : Ensure marketplace compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS) and implement fraud prevention and secure payment mechanisms. Cloud Deployment : Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable ecommerce and marketplace systems. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Mentorship and Leadership : Guide junior engineers and contribute to team development by sharing best practices and expertise. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience : 5-7 years of experience in solution engineering, with specific expertise in e-commerce and marketplace platforms. Ecommerce & Marketplace Systems: Experience building or scaling multi-vendor marketplaces on platforms like Magento, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Mirakl, or custom solutions. Full-stack Development: Strong proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) or similar frameworks. API Design: Advanced knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with experience in creating and managing third-party integrations (e.g., payment, shipping, marketing tools). Scalable Architectures: Experience designing microservices and headless commerce solutions tailored for marketplace environments. Performance Optimization: Expertise in scaling high-traffic ecommerce systems, load balancing, caching, queuing, and database optimization. Cloud Platforms: Proven experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on scalability and reliability. Data Management: Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and analytics integration for actionable insights. DevOps Practices : Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools to ensure uptime and system health. Preferred Skills: Marketplace-Specific Features: Experience with commission models, dispute resolution work flows, and vendor performance tracking, ads management. Familiarity with advanced personalization engines and recommendation systems. Knowledge of multi-currency and multi-language implementation for global marketplaces. Experience integrating with enterprise tools like ERP, CRM, and WMS systems. Exposure to analytics and reporting tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Power BI Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on delivering business value through technical solutions. Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including vendors and partners. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines. Leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and guiding engineering teams. Education: Degree in computer science, Engineering, or related elds (or equivalent experience).
