We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer – Oracle DBA to join our team and lead critical initiatives in database management and cloud migrations.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Oracle database administration, cloud platforms, and performance tuning, driving solutions for complex database systems across diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and tune Oracle databases to ensure maximum performance
• Implement and maintain Oracle RAC, ASM, and other high-availability solutions
• Perform SQL tuning, query optimization, and analyze execution plans to optimize database performance
• Design and execute migration projects, including replatforming to Azure Database for Oracle or OCI-Azure Interconnect
• Utilize tools like Oracle Data Pump, GoldenGate, and AWS DMS for Oracle database migrations
• Develop and troubleshoot PL/SQL programming for database tasks and logic
• Conduct database testing, validation, and application performance assessments post-migration
• Use networking techniques, such as VPNs and ExpressRoute, to enable secure data transfers
• Maintain backups, handle restores, and manage disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and cloud-based solutions
• Collaborate across teams to integrate database solutions with cloud systems like Azure and AWS
• Monitor database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager and Azure Monitor tools
• Keep systems secure and efficient while resolving any data throttling issues

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Oracle database management and system engineering
• Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, and SQL tuning, with a background in Performance Monitor tools
• Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Database for Oracle and OCI-Azure Interconnect
• Knowledge of database migration tools, such as Oracle GoldenGate, AWS DMS, and Oracle Data Pump
• Competency in scripting with PL/SQL, Shell scripting, and PowerShell for automation
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS (RDS, S3, DMS) and Azure Virtual Machines
• Background in secure networking practices, including VPNs and ExpressRoute configurations
• Advanced skills in testing and validation, including data consistency and performance testing
• Showcase of backup and restore methodologies with RMAN, Azure Backup, and RDS Snapshots
