Lead (Sr.Manager/ AGM/ DGM) - Taxation - Real Estate

Our Client, a Leading Real Estate Group is looking out urgently for an expert Taxation professional from the Real Estate industry (mandatory) to be based at Lucknow.

We are looking at a Taxation specialist for the role who has a very good understanding of the Taxation (Direct & Indirect Taxes) and Tax Compliance in the real estate industry.

Should have managed Tax Compliance liasoining with the Tax and Regulatory authorities.

Position Overview

Direct Taxes (Income Tax, TDS, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Taxation

• Ensure timely computation, payment, and filing of corporate income tax, advance tax, and TDS returns.
• Handle tax assessments, appeals, and representations before income tax authorities.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation (if applicable).
• Review financial statements from a tax perspective to ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist in tax planning and structuring of transactions to achieve tax efficiency.
• Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and government authorities for tax-related matters.

Indirect Taxation (GST & Others)

• Oversee compliance with GST laws, including registration, returns filing, input credit reconciliation, and payment of taxes.
• Review contracts and invoices to ensure correct GST applicability and classification.
• Handle GST audits, departmental queries, and assessments.
• Advise business teams on GST implications for property sales, leasing, and construction contracts.
• Ensure compliance with stamp duty, property tax, and other state-level levies relevant to the real estate sector.
• Provide tax advisory support for new projects, joint ventures, mergers, or acquisitions.
• Evaluate and implement changes in tax laws impacting the real estate industry.
• Maintain and update internal SOPs for tax processes.
• Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for finance and project teams on tax compliance.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for tax-related audits.
• Ensure accurate tax provisioning and reconciliation in financial statements.
• Maintain robust documentation and records for all tax filings and correspondence.

Qualification:

• Experience:

  12–18 years of relevant experience in taxation, with at least 3–5 years in the

  real estate sector
