Lead - Regulatory (Utility Business)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Regulatory Lead to oversee utility-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role is critical in securing permits, managing project development, and engaging with stakeholders to support the growth of solar and wind energy initiatives.

How You Will Contribute:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all utility-scale renewable energy projects meet relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
• Permits & Approvals: Lead the process of securing permits and approvals from regulatory bodies for solar and wind projects.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, and community organizations to maintain transparent communication.
• Advocacy & Policy Support: Promote favorable regulatory conditions and participate in industry lobbying efforts to advance renewable energy policies.
• Regulatory Intelligence: Stay updated on changes in laws, policies, and industry regulations, advising the company on necessary adjustments.
• Strategic Coordination: Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify and secure growth opportunities for future projects.
• Market Intelligence: Ensure accurate data analysis for optimizing the tendering process.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough records related to bidding, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder interactions.
• Risk Management: Identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal Candidate:

• Educational Background:

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Law, Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field

• Experience:

  10 -15 years in

  renewable energy regulatory compliance, or stakeholder management

• Strong understanding of

  renewable energy regulations, permitting, and approvals
